Chemicals LLC was founded by WT Group in 2014. It is the authorised distributor of Italy’s Iterchimica S.p.A. in Georgia and supplies additives and emulsifiers for bitumen and asphalt to asphalt plants, emulsion producers and road builders.
Products
- ITERACID L-12 SMART: liquid emulsifier for producing cationic bitumen emulsions, suited to tack coats and surface treatments
- ITERLENE IN/400-L GREEN: adhesion promoter that bonds the bitumen film to the aggregate and protects the mix against water damage
- ITERLOW T: liquid additive for warm mix asphalt that lowers production, laying and compaction temperatures
- ITERMASTIK: bituminous mastic for sealing joints and cracks in asphalt and concrete pavements
- SUPERPLAST: polymer granules added in the asphalt plant mixer to produce polymer-modified asphalt from ordinary bitumen
Where the additives are used
The additives help a road last longer. They improve the bond between bitumen and stone, reduce rutting on heavy-traffic roads and allow asphalt to be produced at lower temperatures.
Georgian Construction Group, another WT Group company, uses Iterchimica additives in the asphalt it produces in Vaziani.
