Since August 2022 the materials-testing laboratory on David Kobakhidze Street in Tbilisi has worked under the name of Georgian Construction Group, the road-building company of WT Group.
The step puts quality control in the same hands as production. Asphalt and bitumen emulsion leave the Vaziani base, crews lay them on the road, and the company’s own laboratory confirms the result with a signed test report.
The laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 and carries out more than 80 tests in five groups of materials: aggregates, concrete, asphalt concrete, bitumen and bitumen emulsion, and soils.
It also keeps working for outside customers. The team, the equipment and the price list stayed as they were, and only the name on the test reports is new. The list of tests and the order details are on gcg.com.ge.
