WT Group and partners found GeoAgro Estate, a blueberry farm in Samegrelo

In 2023 WT Group and its partners founded GeoAgro Estate LLC, the group's first company in agriculture. The company was set up in the Samegrelo region of western Georgia, on 230 hectares of land in the village of Sepieti, Abasha municipality.

Fifty hectares of that land became a single blueberry orchard. Ten varieties are planted, from the early Duke and Suziblue to the late Cargo, so that picking runs from early to late season and the market is supplied through the whole summer.

The farm has its own irrigation and fertigation systems, a 4,000 cubic metre water reservoir, a 150-tonne cold store, its own machinery, and office and warehouse space. It is certified to GLOBALG.A.P. version 6.0 with the GRASP social module.

The first harvest was picked in 2025. The farm is run by chief executive Emzar Otkhozoria with a local agronomist and two consultants from Portugal and Italy, and it grows blueberries for the Georgian market and for export.

More about the farm is on the GeoAgro Estate page and on geoagroestate.ge.
